SACRAMENTO, California, June 22 -- Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-California, issued the following news release on June 21, 2024:

Today, Governor Gavin Newsom announced that CalRx(R)-branded over-the-counter (OTC) naloxone HCL nasal spray, 4 mg, will be available for free to eligible organizations through the Naloxone Distribution Project (NDP).
