SAN DIEGO, California, June 22 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California issued the following news release:
Because of a new and aggressive effort to thwart criminals who target seniors, the U.S. Attorney's Office and the San Diego FBI have recovered more than $3 million lost by victims of sophisticated fraud schemes that primarily targeted the elderly.
