BENTON, Illinois, June 21 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri issued the following news release on June 20, 2024:

The president of a bank in southern Illinois on Thursday admitted a scheme to falsify bank records to facilitate real estate loans.
