FRANKFORT, Kentucky, June 15 -- The Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet issued the following news:
Congratulations to Kentucky drinking water treatment facilities that achieved performance standards of the Area-Wide Optimization Program (AWOP) in 2023. This multi-state initiative is administered through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to facilitate drinking water systems that voluntarily achieved optimization goals more stringent than those required.
