Today, U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff issued the following statement:
"I again condemn the Russian Government's wrongful arrest, detention, and prosecution of Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich and call for his immediate release.
"Mr. Gershkovich's detention and impending trial is a cruel and unjust violation of human rights and an attack on press freedom.
