Today, the House Committee on Education and the Workforce advanced Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer's (OR-05) Civil Rights Protection Act (H.R. 8648) with bipartisan support. Her proposal would require colleges and universities to inform students of their procedures for filing discrimination reports and provide timely updates on the status of complaints filed.
