NEW YORK, June 14 -- Consolidated Edison, a provider of energy-related products and services, issued the following news release:

Devices Will Limit Outages As Heat Waves Become More Severe And Frequent And the Need for Power Grows During the Clean Energy Transition

Con Edison is installing 100 new "interrupters" on underground electric delivery equipment in Brooklyn and Queens over the next five years. To date, crews have installed 20 interrupters.
