PASADENA, California, June 6 -- The California Institute of Technology issued the following news:
Distinguished planetary scientist and astrophysicist Jonathan I. Lunine (PhD '85) has been appointed chief scientist of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, which Caltech manages for NASA. He will officially assume his role August 16.
