PHOENIX, Arizona, June 1 -- The Arizona House Republicans issued the following news release on May 30, 2024:

State Representative David Cook sent a letter today expressing support for the recent proposed action by the United States Department of the Air Force (DAF) to proceed with changing the 492nd Special Operations Wing (492 SOW) into a new unit called the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Power Projection Wing at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson.
