Florida Congressman Daniel Webster, R-Clermont, released the following statement after voting to pass H.R. 5403, the CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act, to protect Americans right to privacy by prohibiting the Federal Reserve from issuing a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) or offering services directly to individuals without congressional authorization.
