WASHINGTON, May 23 -- Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, issued the following news release:
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis requested the federal government to issue a Major Disaster Declaration in response to the May 10, 2024 tornadoes and severe weather that impacted 10 Florida counties.
