WASHINGTON, May 23 -- Rep. August Pfluger, R-Texas, issued the following news release:
Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed Congressman Pfluger's legislation by a bipartisan vote of 262-143 to block noncitizens from voting in D.C. In 2022, the D.C. Council enacted the Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act, which allows noncitizens, including illegal immigrants, to vote in D.C. local elections.
