ST. PAUL, Minnesota, May 17 -- Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon issued the following news dated May 11, 2024:
On May 11, 2024, the new Great Seal of the State of Minnesota and State Flag of Minnesota approved by the State Emblems Redesign Commission in 2023 became the official state emblems. (Minnesota Statutes 1.135 and 1.141) The flag and seal reflect Minnesota's best-known traits - the North Star and our many lakes and rivers - and were based on original designs subm . . .
