DENVER, Colorado, May 14 -- Gov. Jared Polis, D-Colorado, issued the following news release on May 13, 2024:
Today, Governor Polis signed bills into law that support more housing near transit, and allow Coloradans the freedom to build accessory dwelling units (ADUs, also called mother-in-law flats or casitas) on their property, creating more housing options that are affordable. Governor Polis called for both of these actions in his 2024 State of the State address.
