HOUSTON, Texas, May 2 -- The University of Texas's MD Anderson Cancer Center issued the following news release:

Sharon Dent, Ph.D., professor of Epigenetics and Molecular Carcinogenesis at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, has been elected to the National Academy of Sciences (NAS).
