ATLANTA, Georgia, May 2 -- Lt. Gov. Burt Jones, R-Georgia, issued the following news release on May 1, 2024:
Today, Lt. Governor Burt Jones issued a statement on the signing of his priority public safety legislation, Senate Bills 63 and 421. Senate Bill 63 makes reforms to our bail system, expanding the list of serious offenses for which bail or surety is required. Senate Bill 421 increases penalties for the act of "swatting" and drive-by shootings.
