BOSTON, Massachusetts, May 1 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts issued the following news release on April 30, 2024:
The co-owner of a Mattapan plumbing and heating supply company was charged today with filing false tax returns in connection with a scheme to use millions of dollars of unreported receipts of the business to buy gold bars.
Claudio Poles, 78, of Dorchester, was charged with four counts of filing false tax returns.
