JEFFERSON CITY, Missouri, April 20 -- The Missouri Department of Natural Resources issued the following news release:

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources announced the winner of its 2024 Earth Day slogan contest. Ella Garr, a fifth-grade student from Academie Lafayette in Kansas City, won first place for her entry, "Protect the Earth, for what it's worth." Ella was among more than 150 Missouri fifth graders from 13 schools who entered the annual slogan contest.
