LOS ANGELES, California, April 20 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for Central District of California issued the following news release on April 19, 2024:

A former federal employee pleaded guilty today to a federal kidnapping charge for plotting to abduct and kill his estranged wife, who was strangled to death in 2016.

Eddy Reyes, 38, of Covina, pleaded guilty to one count of kidnapping resulting in death.
