EAST ST. LOUIS, Illinois, April 18 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois issued the following news release:
A Waterloo woman is facing multiple federal charges after being accused of embezzling money from 2020-2022 as an employee at Dupo Community Unit School District #196.
A grand jury charged Linda J. Johnson, 57, with three counts of theft from federally funded programs. If convicted, Johnson could face up to 10 years' imprisonment . . .
