AUGUSTA, Maine, April 17 -- The Maine Senate Democrats issued the following news:
On April 13, a bill from Sen. Mike Tipping, D-Orono, became law. As amended, LD 870, "An Act to Strengthen Freedom of Speech Protections by Enacting the Uniform Public Expression Protection Act," covers "any statement made in connection with an issue of public interest in a public forum or other place open to the public [and] any statement made in a media publication" with anti-SLAP . . .
