In response to remarks made by Rep. Lemelin and affirmed by Rep. Rudnicki regarding the October 25, 2023 shooting in Lewiston, Maine, the Maine Democratic Party released the following statement:
"Rep. Lemelin's incredibly cruel remarks have no place in the Maine House and are an affront to the pain Mainers are still suffering as a result . . .
