DENVER, Colorado, April 4 -- The Colorado Senate Democrats issued the following news release on April 3, 2024:
Today, the Senate voted to approve Senators Dafna Michaelson Jenet, D-Commerce City, and Kevin Priola's, D-Henderson, bill to allow people convicted of a felony to change their name to conform with their gender identity.
Under current law, a person convicted of a felony who wishes to change their name must demonstrate "good cause" to do so. HB24-1071 . . .
