DENVER, Colorado, March 29 -- The Colorado Senate Democrats issued the following news release on March 28, 2024:
The Senate Judiciary Committee today voted to advance Senators Dafna Michaelson Jenet, D-Commerce City, and Kevin Priola's, D-Henderson, bill to allow people convicted of a felony to change their name to conform with their gender identity.
Under current law, a person convicted of a felony who wishes to change their name must demonstrate "good cause" . . .
