ST. PAUL, Minnesota, March 27 -- Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minnesota, issued the following proclamation:
WHEREAS: There are approximately 5.6 million people in the United States living with limb loss or limb difference; and
WHEREAS: Researchers estimate that each year, about 1 in every 1,900 babies in the United States is born with a congenital limb difference; and
WHEREAS: Diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, and trauma are cited as the leading causes of amputati . . .
