ST. PAUL, Minnesota, March 27 -- Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minnesota, issued the following proclamation:
WHEREAS: Arbor Day reminds us all of the significance of trees and forests, acknowledging their role in the economy, culture, history, and future of our communities; and
WHEREAS: Trees provide clean air and water; they capture and store carbon from the atmosphere to offset greenhouse gas emissions; they provide shade, wildlife habitats, recreational opportunities, wood produc . . .
