SAN DIEGO, California, March 22 -- The office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California issued the following news release on March 21, 2024:
Kevin Noe Campos Villa of Tijuana pleaded guilty in federal court today to human smuggling charges, admitting he guided seven unauthorized immigrants through sewer pipes during heavy rains. Several had to be rescued from the Tijuana River by San Diego lifeguards.
Campos is scheduled to be sentenced on June 17, 20 . . .
