SACRAMENTO, California, March 1 -- Gov. Gavin Newsom, D-California, issued the following news release on Feb. 29, 2024:

Governor Gavin Newsom today announced that he has signed the following bills:

* SB 263 by Senator Bill Dodd (D-Napa) - Insurance: annuities and life insurance policies.

* SB 400 by Senator Aisha Wahab (D-Hayward) - Peace officers: confidentiality of records.
