WASHINGTON, Feb. 22 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's National Park Service issued the following news release on Feb. 21, 2024:
The National Park Service today awarded $5 million to eight projects in six states as part of the Historic Preservation Fund's History of Equal Rights grant program, which focuses on the preservation of sites directly associated with the struggle for all Americans to gain equal rights.
