WASHINGTON, Jan. 23 -- Sen. Jerry Moran, R-Kansas, issued the following news release:

U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) today announced he will support the nominees for the Amtrak Board of Directors who will receive votes in the Senate this week. The White House has confirmed to Sen. Moran that they intend to comply with the law and nominate individuals to fill the remaining open seats on the Amtrak Board of Directors who represent regions outside of the Northeast Corridor.
