WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 -- The Council on American-Islamic Relations issued the following news release on Jan. 17, 2024:

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, the nation's largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, is calling on all Americans urge their member of Congress in the U.S. House of Representatives to support Congressman Andre Carson's Muhammad Ali Congressional Gold Medal Act. Today marks Mohammed Ali's birthday, he was born on January 17, 1942.
