RALEIGH, North Carolina, Jan. 11 -- North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein issued the following news release on Jan. 10, 2024:

Attorney General Josh Stein today reached a $61,000 settlement with Patrick Shawn Murphy, a behavioral health provider in Burlington, to resolve allegations that Murphy submitted false claims to the North Carolina Medicaid program. The settlement funds will be returned to the program.
