ATLANTA, Georgia, Jan. 10 -- The Environmental Protection Agency issued the following news release:
In a historic moment, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is announcing the appointment of 16 new members to the Local Government Advisory Committee (LGAC), as well as 13 reappointments of members. For the first time in the Agency's history an advisory committee's membership will be predominately female, including all members of the committee's leadership.
