DENVER, Colorado, Dec. 20 -- Gov. Jared Polis, D-Colorado, issued the following news release on Dec. 19, 2023:

Today, Governor Polis appointed Arturo G. Hernandez to the 17th Judicial District Court. This appointment fills a vacancy created by the retirement of Chief Judge Donald S. Quick and is effective on January 23, 2024.

Mr. Hernandez is a Senior Lead Deputy District Attorney in the 17th Judicial District Attorney's Office, a position he has held since 2022.
