AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 19 -- Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, issued the following news release on Dec. 18, 2023:
Governor Greg Abbott today appointed Aaron Kinsey as Chair of the Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) for a term set to expire on December 17, 2025. Kinsey will succeed Dr. Keven Ellis, who has served as Chair since he was appointed in 2019 by the Governor and who will continue to serve on the SBOE.
