WASHINGTON, Dec. 14 -- Rep. Robert C. Scott, D-Virginia, issued the following news release:
"I was relieved to see the recent successful negotiation that allowed for a halt in fighting, the release of more than 100 Israeli hostages, and increased humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza. Like many, I am very troubled by reports of heavy losses of Palestinian civilian lives in this war.
"To ensure a lasting ceasefire and peace, negotiations must include further . . .
