FORT WORTH, Texas, Dec. 12 -- The U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Leigha Simonton, issued the following news release:
Texas-based commercial roofing contractor Empire Roofing, Inc. and its nationwide network of roofing and disposal companies agreed to pay $9 million to resolve allegations that they violated the False Claims Act (FCA) by falsely certifying that eight of their affiliates were eligible to receive loans through the Small Business Administration's (SBA) . . .
