ANNAPOLIS, Maryland, Dec. 8 -- The Maryland Department of Agriculture issued the following news release:
During the fall of 2023, the Maryland Department of Agriculture's Forest Pest Management program hosted inter-state collections of Laricobius nigrinus beetles at Rocky Gap State Park, MD with the goal of redistributing the beetles to states in the North East in an effort to protect Eastern Hemlock trees against the invasive pest hemlock woolly adelgid.
