WASHINGTON, Dec. 8 -- Rep. Valerie Foushee, D-North Carolina, issued the following news release:
Congresswoman Valerie Foushee (NC-04), announced a $1 billion grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to develop a new intercity passenger rail route between Raleigh, NC and Richmond, VA along the CSX Transportation "S-Line" that will connect North Carolina with Virginia, Washington D.C., and the Northeast Corridor.
