BEAUMONT, Texas, Dec. 7 -- Lamar University issued the following news:
Micki Carpenter Platt has named the Lamar University Foundation as the beneficiary of two $20,000 charitable gift annuities administered by the National Gift Annuity Foundation with the intent to provide funds and endow the Micki Carpenter Platt Scholarship.
This scholarship is open to both full-time graduate and undergraduate students of any major who maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher.
