KINGSTON, Rhode Island, Dec. 6 -- The University of Rhode Island issued the following news:
Okyanus Arikan, a University of Rhode Island sophomore kinesiology major who has sailed for Turkey's Olympic team, competed in the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association's national championship regatta at Tulane University Nov. 11 and 12. Arikan finished 6th out of 18 competitors in the women's single-handed race.
