Cherokee Nation to Sign Agreement With City of Tahlequah

TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma, Nov. 30 -- The Cherokee Nation, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news release:

The Cherokee Nation will sign an agreement with the city of Tahlequah on Thursday that acknowledges the tribe's intent to share revenue from traffic citations with city officials.

Tahlequah, the capital of the Cherokee Nation, will be the 30th municipality within the Cherokee Nation Reservation to sign such an agreement with the trib . . .
