HELENA, Montana, Nov. 21 -- Gov. Greg Gianforte, R-Montana, issued the following news release on Nov. 20, 2023:
As chair of the Montana Land Board, Governor Greg Gianforte today led the state's purchase of 328 acres of riparian habitat along the Lower Yellowstone River, boosting public access for Montanans in a priority region for the governor.
"For too long, public access to the Lower Yellowstone River has been a challenge for anglers, floaters, hunters, and hiker . . .
