Today, U.S. Senators Susan Collins and Angus King and U.S. Representative Chellie Pingree announced that the City of Freeport has been awarded a grant of $7.5 million and a loan of $7.488 million through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development's Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant Program. This funding will allow for long overdue replacements and upgrades to Freeport . . .
