WASHINGTON, Nov. 9 -- Rep. Alex Mooney, R-West Virginia, issued the following news release on Nov. 8, 2023:
Congressman Alex X. Mooney joined a bipartisan majority in voting to censure Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) for her antisemitic comments following Hamas terrorist attacks against Israel.
Censure is the second highest punishment the House can impose on a member short of expulsion.
