RALEIGH, North Carolina, Nov. 8 -- North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein issued the following news release on Nov. 6, 2023:
Attorney General Josh Stein today joined the United States' civil antitrust lawsuit against Agri Stats, Inc. for working with chicken, pork, and turkey processors to artificially inflate the price of food. The lawsuit alleges that Agri Stats violated Section 1 of the Sherman Act by engaging in anticompetitive conduct to raise costs for American consum . . .
