Covid lockdowns saw a surge in conversation and media attention on exotic pets (thanks, Tiger King). In August 2021 a Maryland suburb experienced its own version when three zebras escaped from their owner, Jerry Lee Holly. Last week Holly was found not guilty in court of three counts of misdemeanor animal cruelt.y
