WASHINGTON, Oct. 31 (TNSrep) -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics issued the following document from Economics Daily:

In September 2023, unemployment rates were higher than the previous month in 16 states and stable in 34 states and the District of Columbia. Compared with a year earlier, 24 states had jobless rate decreases, 10 states and the District had increases, and 16 states had little change.
