BENTON, Illinois, Oct. 21 -- The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, Rachelle Aud Crowe, issued the following news release on Oct. 20, 2023:
A former vice president and loan officer for Community First Bank of the Heartland in Mount Vernon who committed bank fraud and multiple arsons was sentenced in federal court in Benton on Thursday to 12 years in prison.
