WASHINGTON, Oct. 16 -- Sen. Benjamin Cardin, D-Maryland, issued the following news release:
U.S. Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen (both D-Md.) have opened a public process for applications from Marylanders interested in serving as United States District Judge for the District of Maryland. The announcement comes after United States Chief District Judge (Maryland) James Bredar has informed the White House and the U.S. Senate of his intention to take senior status next year.
